How to Clean your Ceramic Tile Floor
If you want to get some ceramic tiles installed but aren’t quite sure how to get them cleaned, then the process is very simple. Before you even start cleaning, you need to remove anything that might get in the way. You then need to remove any dirt or dust by using a vacuum or a brush. It should be noted that using a vacuum if your floor is marble is not a good idea, so make sure that you keep this in mind where possible. It is also a good idea for you to use a plastic putty knife or even an old credit card so that you can scrape any sticky residue from the tiles. When you have done this, you then need to fill a bucket with some hot water. Add around half a cup of vinegar and then a tablespoon of liquid soap. Don’t use too much soap if possible as the soapy residue will leave your floor looking dull and unappealing. Before you mop, it is wise for you to rinse the head under some hot running water as this will help to remove any dust from last time. After you have mopped the floor with the soapy residue, you then need to mop it by using some plain hot water. You can air-dry the floor from this point on, but drying it with a cloth will take even more dirt off the surface. This is a great way for you to clean your kitchen tiles and bathroom tiles.
Cleaning Tile Grout
If you notice that your grout is looking a little worse-for-wear and you want to clean it, then take some bicarbonate of soda, and mix it with water. You can then use an electric toothbrush with an old head, to scrub the grout. If you don’t have an electric toothbrush then a normal toothbrush will do. After you have applied the bicarbonate of soda paste, simply fill up a spray bottle with vinegar and then spray it over the mix. It should ideally bubble into a very thick mixture, to which you can then begin scrubbing to remove the grime.Want to find out more about our tiles? Contact us today to enquire.
