Timber Flooring

Comparing timber flooring

Natural grain and colour variation are part of timber's appearance, so assess samples and the stated grading information rather than relying on one screen image. Also compare board dimensions, surface finish and construction.

Match the product to the room

Review the exact product's suitability, installation system and care requirements. Compare other constructions in the flooring type guide or browse hybrid flooring for a different build.

Plan quantities and installation

Confirm substrate preparation, moisture conditions, acclimatisation, board direction and expansion details with the installer. Calculate packs using the approved layout and cutting allowance.
