Building an interior around dark flooring
The dark flooring range includes deep brown, smoked timber, jarrah, blackbutt and near-charcoal looks across hybrid, engineered timber, laminate, vinyl and bamboo products. These finishes can give a room a strong visual base, but they do not all behave as one palette. Red, golden and grey undertones respond differently to wall colour, joinery and both natural and artificial light.
Before choosing the darkest sample, consider how much contrast the room already contains. Pale walls and cabinetry can sharpen the floor, while darker furniture may create a quieter, more tonal scheme. Surface texture and sheen also affect how dust, reflections and grain variation appear, so review a physical sample in the intended space.
Compare the product, not only the shade
Current products span several constructions and plank sizes. Check the exact board dimensions, thickness, edge profile, installation method and stated room suitability. The broader flooring colour range is useful when comparing dark finishes with medium or light alternatives without changing the construction first.
Plan direction, transitions and the cutting allowance with the installer before ordering. Product documentation remains the source for substrate preparation, expansion details, installation and maintenance; the colour collection is a visual starting point rather than a technical specification.
