Building an interior around dark flooring

The dark flooring range includes deep brown, smoked timber, jarrah, blackbutt and near-charcoal looks across hybrid, engineered timber, laminate, vinyl and bamboo products. These finishes can give a room a strong visual base, but they do not all behave as one palette. Red, golden and grey undertones respond differently to wall colour, joinery and both natural and artificial light.

Before choosing the darkest sample, consider how much contrast the room already contains. Pale walls and cabinetry can sharpen the floor, while darker furniture may create a quieter, more tonal scheme. Surface texture and sheen also affect how dust, reflections and grain variation appear, so review a physical sample in the intended space.
